Make sure your vase is the right height for the flowers.
Trim 1 inch off the stem at a 45-degree angle.
Flowers with thicker stems (such as tulips and calla lilies) absorb water quickly, so don’t overfill the vase — about 2 inches of water is more than enough for them.
Change the water every 1–2 days and re-cut the stems.
Keep flowers away from direct sunlight.
When a flower starts to wilt or look sad, remove it from the bouquet. Your flowers naturally bloom and fade at different times.
